One synchronized USASMDC/ARSTRAT team develops and provides leading-edge space, missile defense, and high altitude forces and capabilities for the warfighter and for the Army — wherever and whenever required.

USASMDC/ARSTRAT Mission Statement

USASMDC/ARSTRAT develops and provides current and future global space, missile defense, and high altitude capabilities to the Army, joint force, and our allies and partners, to enable multi-domain combat effects; enhance deterrence, assurance, and detection of strategic attacks; and protect the nation.

Command Priorities and Lines of Effort

Purpose

The joint force increasingly faces adversary capabilities that challenge its freedom of access to key regions and domains. These challenges threaten our homeland and broader American strategic efforts. USASMDC/ARSTRAT develops and provides current and future capabilities that deter, deny, and defeat these challenges to support the Nation’s strategic ends..

 Methods

  • Protect our homeland through a diverse and broad spectrum of supporting capabilities and contributions from across the command.

  • Provide combat-ready force and capabilities through an effective and efficient system that supports superiority against any adversary, at any time, in any place, under any condition.

  • Plan and conduct synchronized global operations through an organization and culture that embraces and executes based on a mindset that is globally-integrated, highlycollaborative, and fully-enabled.

  • Prepare or adopt leap-ahead concepts and technologies through excellence in combat and material development and other activities designed to contribute to the current fight, which also will enable the next generation to prevail in conflicts to come.

  • Preserve and account for the Nation’s critical resources through the establishment, maintenance, and normalization of policies and systems created to ensure appropriate and effective stewardship.

  • Promote and foster a positive command climate through the establishment, maintenance, and normalization of policies and systems that ensure a healthy relationship between the command and its workforce and Families.

USASMDC/ARSTRAT Endstate

USASMDC/ARSTRAT is globally synchronized and functions with true unity of effort; the command develops and provides superior space, missile defense, and high altitude capabilities to the Army, joint force, and our allies and partners for current and future fights; command activities enhance deterrence, assurance, and detection of strategic attacks; command efforts continue to strengthen homeland defense.
